Details for the 2008 Season: click here |
What is a CSA? CSA stands for Community Sustained Agriculture. What this means, essentially, is that members of a community support their local farmers by purchasing a "share" in the farm. CSA members pay for the season's produce up front. This gives the farmers the money when they need it most. In exchange, members receive a weekly share of whatever produce is in season for the rest of that year. A win-win for all involved! 14 Acre Farm’s CSA For our members that pick up at the farm, we offer a selective buffet system. Members get to choose from vegetable groupings and bag their own produce, creating a tailor-made order for their families. To help eliminate disposable bag usage, all members are given a canvas 14 Acre Farm bag they can bring back each week.
