Pick-Up Pick-up is every Monday beginning May 12th. This year's hours have changed. Please pick up your produce between 4pm-7pm at the farm. At your first pick-up of the season, you will receive a canvas 14 Acre Farm bag to put your veggies and bread in. We will be there to guide you through the process of choosing your veggies and bread. You will be responsible for bringing your bag back each week to reuse. Please try to cut down on bag waste by remembering your bag! If you're prone to forget, try rounding up a stash of reusable bags to keep in your trunk, so you always have a way of getting your veggies. This year we have a new policy on no-shows. If you can't make it to pick-up, we understand. Life happens. We will gladly make arrangements for you to come during business hours, but please call us to let us know. Anyone who does not show up between the specified hours without calling forfeits their food for the week. We will be donating your share for the week to a local family in need through a local food pantry. If you know in advance you can't make pick-up due to vacation or work, you have the option of having anyone of your choosing come in your place. If you'd prefer, we can donate your share for the week to the food pantry mentioned above. Payment Due to a large amount of interest in new shares, all first-time members must be paid in full by April 1st. All previous members payments are due by first pick-up. For convenience sake, this year we have added a Paypal option for online and credit card payments. Please click the "pay now" option next to the share you would like to purchase. Of course, we still happily accept good old-fashioned paper checks and cash. Please email us for the mailing address.
Extra Items/Member Benefits As a member, you will get first pick on our bedding plants before they go on sale to the public. We are also planning on having grass-fed ground beef for $4.25 lb and whole chickens available, both frozen. We will continue to offer raw honey from Stagecoach Apiary. Eggs may be special ordered for $4 a dozen. Through Breakaway farms, there may be other meats available through special order. Beginning in August, we'll finally have that option of wild-caught salmon too. One Final Note By purchasing a share, you are committed in sharing the success and occasional failure of the farm itself. Because of the nature of, well, Nature, we can't always guarantee the best varieties of perfect produce and enough of everything for everybody. We will try our hardest to give you the best and freshest assortment of produce and bread possible, but there may be some weeks where we are short on some things. We'll try to make it up by providing extra in other areas or other weeks. If you would prefer to take a more direct role in what exact items you would like to have from week to week, perhaps visiting the farm store during business hours and purchasing ala carte may be a better option for you.
